AT FULL THROTTLE THROUGH THE ANTIATLAS

Having had fun by bathing at Tissint, we're now on target for the Antiatlas. In doing so, we feel observed by reams of armed forces who were controlling the road due to a rallye trek that passed through. In the Antiatlas, that certainly offers one of the most beautiful sceneries in Morocco, we are on our own again. By small dirt roads driving past dromedaries and tents of nomads we get into the mountains to Tafroute. Inside the enchanting area around the ‚painted rocks' we pitch our tents, but as we still have a long way to go we do not stay that long in the mountains of Antiatlas. Some of us had suffered a bit from some stomach problems, but now the whole team is fit and looking forward to the sea! Close to Tiznit we reach the Atlantic Ocean at Aglou Plage and jump into the water. After some cloudy days the sun is finally on our side again. Next stop is Sidi Ifni that has been under spanish administration for a long time.
