Wir geniessen die unverfälschte Natur nahe Apold und gehen vor der Weiterfahrt noch etwas auf Fotopirsch (Bild 50A bis 54A). Auf kleinen Landstrassen gelangen wir nach Reichesdorf (Bild 55A) und dann nach Bierthälm (Biertan). Im Ort hat sich seit unserem letzten Besuch 2002 eine kleine touristische Infrastruktur entwickelt. Die Wehrkirche des Ortes (Bild 67A bis 70A) gilt als einer der schönsten Siebenbürgens und ist mittlerweile in die UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe-Liste aufgenommen. Trotz der allgemeinen Aufmerksamkeit für das touristische Kleinod hat sich der Ort viel von seiner Beschaulichkeit erhalten (Bild 56A bis 66A).
Stillstand bedeutet Rückschritt, also geht die Fahrt weiter durch das schöne Rumänien. Wir besuchen Medias (Bild 71A, 72A), erfreuen uns an der schönen Altstadt, dem Werbespruch des Monats (Bild 73A - "deutsche Qualität, rumänische Preise") und an den originellen Fahrzeugen, die bis unter das Dach mit Gras gefüllt sind (Bild 74A), bzw. einen Plastikbecher als Fettkappe verwenden (Bild 75A). Auf der Fahrt nach Karlsburg (Alba Julia) passieren wir Klein Koppisch (Copsa Mica), das lange den traurigen Rekord des am stärksten verschmutzten Ortes Europas hielt (Bild 76A). Mittlerweile hat sich manches zum besseren gewendet und nur ein paar Meter weiter warten schon liebliche Mohnfelder (Bild 77A) und Kühe auf der Wanderschaft (Bild 78A). Nach Karlsburg (Bild 79A bis 82A) warten dann die West-Karpaten auf uns, wo wir noch einmal die Geländetauglichkeit der Fahrzeuge auf einsamsten Waldwegen testen wollen. An schönen Nachtplätzen ist schon mal kein Mangel (Bild 83A).

Tour de Siebenbürgen
We enjoy the genuine nature near Apold, and before continuing the trip, we go for some more photos (photos 50A to 54A). On small country roads, we first reach Reichesdorf (photo 55A) and then Bierthälm (Biertan). In this town, a small tourist infrastructure has developed since our last visit in 2002. The church of Reichesdorf (photos 67A to 70A) counts as one of the most beautiful ones in Siebenbürgen and is nowadays one of the UNESCO world culture heritages. In spite of the general attention for the tourist gem, the town has not lost its tranquillity (photos 56A to 66A).
Standstill means setback, therefore the trip goes further through the beautiful Rumania. We visit Medias (photos 71A and 72A), rejoice in the beautiful old town, in the slogan of the month (photo 73A - “German quality, Romanian prices”), and in the original vehicles, that are filled until under the roof with grass and use a plastic cup as a fat cap (photo 75A). On the trip to Karlsburg (Alba Julia), we pass through Klein Koppisch (Copsa Mica), which, for a long time, hold the sad record of being the most polluted city of Europe (photo 76A). In the meanwhile, many things have improved and closed to the city, lovely poppy fields (photo 77A) and cows are waiting for us (photo 78A). After Karlsburg (photos 79A to 82A), we reach the West Carpathian Mountains, where we want to test once again the terrain usefulness of our cars on some very solitary forest ways. There, we don’t have any problems to find a beautiful place to stay over night (photo 83A).
