Mit den Mädels kommt das gute Wetter. Seit 02.11. sind Annett und Nina mit an Bord und verstärken das Weltreisenden-Team für zwei bzw. drei Wochen mit Sonnenschein und guter Laune. Die ersten Tage in Marokko haben wir in Tanger (Tanjah) verbracht, mit knapp 500 000Einwohnern eine der größeren Städte in Marokko. Leider verbleicht der Glanz alter Tage etwas, als Tanger noch internationale Zone war,doch ein Besuch der Medina (Altstadt) und dem zugehörigen Souk (Bazar) macht auch hier mächtig Spass. Kleine Jungs, die einem meterlange Fische um den Hals legen wollen, haufenweise Drogenhändler, farbenfrohe Obst- und Gemüsestände, Metzger aller Klassen, das ergibt Pupillen- und Ohrenschmaus vom Besten. Auch bei uns ist der Weg das Ziel, deshalb bewegen wir uns weiter. Die zweite Station in Marokko ist Chefchouen, 50km südlich von Tetouan im Rif-Gebirge (im Volksmund "Kiff-Gebirge") gelegen. Den etwa 50 000Einwohner großen Ort haben wir bereits bei der Reise 2001 besucht und er hat nichts von seinem Zauber verloren (eine Spur touristischer ist er geworden seit damals). Der Gang durch die engen, oft blaubemalten Gassen ist ein Erlebnis, das wir erstaunlich entspannt geniessen können. Heute geht der Ramadan zu Ende, was mit einem Feiertag begangen wird; folglich sind die meisten Läden geschlossen und die Händler wenig an den Touristen interessiert.

Tanger-Chefchouen!!!
Together with the girls, the good weather arrives. Since November 2nd, Annett and Nina are on board, and they will reinforce the Weltreisenden-Team with sunshine and good mood during two and three weeks, respectively. The first days in Morocco, we spent in Tanger (Tanjah), with its 500 000 inhabitants one of the bigger cities of the country. Unfortunately, its glory is not shining anymore as it once did when Tanger was an international zone. Nonetheless, a visit of its Medina (old centre) and the Souk (the bazar) is very interesting and a lot of fun. Small boys who want to put enormous fish around your neck, plenty of drug dealers, colourful stands of fruits and vegetables, all kinds of butchers -- all this is like a wonderful meal for eyes and ears.
Also for us, the way is the destimation; therefore, we continue our trip. Our second stop is in Chefchouen, 50 km in the South of Tetouan in the Rif Mountains. We visited this city (about 50 000 inhabitants) already in 2001 and it has not lost anything of its charme (even though it has become more touristic). The walk through the narrow and blue coloured lanes is an experience which we can enjoy surprisingly very relaxed. Today is the end of Ramadan and hence a public holiday; for this reason, most of the shops are closed and traders and not that interested in tourists.
